About
Dr Aggie Them is committed to empowering and supporting women as they go through life-changing experiences related to Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Aggie was born in Poland and moved to Montreal, Canada at the age of 3. She later returned to Poland to study medicine, which was a unique experience that allowed Aggie to reconnect with her family roots.
Upon completing her medical degree, Aggie moved to Ireland for four years where she took on her first role in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and went on to earn a Masters degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from University College Cork.
Aggie moved to New Zealand in 2012 to continue growing her career, working in Tauranga and Christchurch. She then began her specialist training in Wellington and completed it in Hawke’s Bay, where she pursued advanced training in laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and colposcopy. This clinical training was coupled with an executive-ready programme for women in leadership.
“I find it very inspiring to empower women with respect to their bodies, spending time during consultations to enable patients to better understand what might be wrong and how we can find solutions together.”
Will Them is Aggie’s husband and practice manager. He was born and grew up in the United States and moved to New Zealand in 2007 for an OE that never ended.
Will has a background in software engineering and management. He applies this knowledge to the practice to help run things smoothly. You will interact with Will via email, phone, and at the front desk in clinics.
In their spare time, Aggie and Will enjoy exploring New Zealand’s great outdoors, fine-tuning the art of running a clinic together, and occasionally debating whose job is actually more complicated. (Spoiler: it’s Aggie’s.)
